Home sweet home…

Back home in my old, adorable, little house after a whirlwind trip to my parents house. I am now officially certified to teach barre method! The certification was an absolute blast, we were going all day long doing mock classes and learning how to teach the techniques. I was completely exhausted and really uninteresting when we finally had dinner with my grandparents. My grandma did bring me a jar of her bread and butter pickles because she knows how much I love them, I literally go through a jar of pickles like a pregnant woman.

Right before I drove home today I got a massage from my wonderful massage therapist Michelle. I miss her so much, she is a miracle worker! I can’t wait to get back on my bike tomorrow morning and get some more knots in my muscles. I have to get on my bike because one I haven’t been riding much and two I ate a whole box of cookies my mom made on my drive home. Model nutrition I know but they were so good! Although right now I would be content with not ever seeing another cookie again.

Recreational cruising…

My sister has been in town since Thursday night because she was interviewing at MUSC for pharmacy school. Friday we hit up Pure Barre at their new location in downtown Charleston. It was a very good workout but I must say I would 1,000 times rather be in the gym with the iron that with dainty stuck up girls. I have been to Pure Barre several times and have done barre classes elsewhere but most of the women that have attended there would actually smile at you, these ladies at the downtown studio were rather……interesting. Oh well, to each their own.

Today I drug myself out of my super cozy bed to ride in 34 degree weather. Awesome. I averaged about 15.6, super granny pace. I think I am slowly becoming a recreation cyclist, it is killing me! Although my average was depressing, the views were beautiful! I rode out to Folly Beach, the sky was crystal clear and had it not be so cold it would have been  absolutely perfect!

My sister and I drove back to Spartanburg where my parents live and we are crashing here because we are doing a barre certification all day tomorrow, should be interesting seeing as I’m completely worn out! We did childcare at church tonight to help out a friend and needless to day, I am not a kid person. I like kids for like half and hour then I also enjoy sending them home, so after two and a half hours watching kids I am beat. I have to get up at seven so I’m going to peace out.
